Wellpoint Tennessee, U.S. Hunger, and Tennessee Titans Join Forces to Fight Food Insecurity in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn – Wellpoint Tennessee, U.S. Hunger, and the Tennessee Titans are joining forces to address food insecurity and promote community wellness in Nashville with a hands-on event at Nissan Stadium.

The initiative will take place Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Titans Concourse, adjacent to Lot H. The day kicks off with a Volunteer Food Packing session from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. CST, followed by a Community Food Distribution from 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. CST, where families in need can pick up food boxes.

Volunteers from all three organizations will pack 35 food boxes, totaling 10,000 meals, to support Nashville families facing food shortages.

In addition to providing meals, the event will feature free health screenings and services from the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, including flu shots, A1C testing, blood pressure checks, well-women exams, sick visits, prescription refills, adult physicals, and well-child exams. Families will also enjoy entertainment and community engagement opportunities throughout the day.

“This partnership highlights how community collaboration can address both immediate needs and long-term wellness,” said a spokesperson for Wellpoint Tennessee. “By combining nutritious food distribution with essential health services, we’re supporting families in multiple ways and strengthening Nashville’s community support systems.”

The initiative emphasizes addressing broader social determinants of health (SDOH), illustrating the importance of combining access to healthcare with nutritious food to promote overall well-being.
