This New Gym Is Changing How People Train and Recover + Opening Details for Nashville Performance Club

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A new player in Nashville’s ever-growing fitness and wellness scene is aiming to redefine what it means to train—not just physically, but holistically.

Nashville Performance Club, led by founder Cameron Day, is officially opening its doors April 6, introducing a concept that blends performance training, recovery, and community into one unified experience.

While new gyms and studios continue to pop up across the city, Day says NPC is built on something deeper than just workouts.

“NPC really starts with our coaches,” Day said. “We have an incredible team and we have a lot of really good human beings as coaches.”

According to Day, that human-first approach is what sets the club apart. Each coach brings personal experience with the challenges fitness can present, allowing them to connect with members on a deeper level both on and off the training floor.

A Holistic Approach to Training

At the core of NPC is a four-part training system designed to address every aspect of health and performance: Perform, Flow, Restore, and Play.

  • Perform focuses on strength and conditioning through structured, progressive programming.
  • Flow emphasizes mobility and movement, helping members better understand and improve how their bodies function.
  • Restore introduces guided recovery using tools like cold tubs and saunas—but with a strong emphasis on breathwork and nervous system regulation.
  • Play brings a social and competitive element, encouraging members to connect through team-based workouts and community events. Members can bring a guest for free every Saturday.

“All four stand for our ethos,” Day said. “Training isn’t the most important thing. Recovery doesn’t give you all the answers, but together, they all can play a key role for you.”

Unlike many traditional gyms, NPC operates primarily through large-group sessions, typically ranging from 15 to 30 people, while still allowing flexibility for individual goals. Members can also access the facility for independent training outside of scheduled sessions.

Training for Everyone

Despite the performance-driven name, NPC is not just for elite athletes.

Day says the club is designed to meet people wherever they are in their fitness journey—from young athletes building confidence to adults simply looking to feel stronger and healthier.

“Whether it’s a 10-year-old trying to make their first team or someone who just wants to feel stronger, we can match it,” he said.

That versatility reflects Day’s own background. With a degree in kinesiology from the University of North Texas, experience in community recreation, and time spent working within Vanderbilt’s football program, his career has spanned both high-performance athletics and everyday wellness.

Although he had his dream job by age 26, Day craved working one-on-one with those looking to create better strides in their lives. “I wanted to get back into doing things for the individual.”

That realization ultimately led to the creation of NPC.

Designed With Intention

Beyond programming, the physical space itself reflects NPC’s philosophy.

The facility features warm lighting, natural textures, and a welcoming aesthetic—intentionally designed to feel less intimidating than traditional gyms.

“We’re trying to be inviting, whether you love to train your tail off or you’ve never stepped in front of a squat rack,” Day said.

From spa-like locker rooms to thoughtfully designed training areas, every detail aims to balance intensity with comfort, reinforcing the idea that fitness should be both challenging and accessible.

Opening Week and What to Expect

NPC’s soft opening begins Monday, April 6, with guided intro sessions for new members. These sessions will walk participants through the training floor, recovery spaces, and overall structure of the program.

Full group sessions will begin April 13, with the official grand opening set for May 2. The launch will also feature local vendors, including coffee, juice, and wellness partners integrated into the NPC experience.

Membership is structured as a single-tier model, offering access to all sessions and amenities, with pricing based on commitment length. While founding memberships have already sold out, standard memberships remain available.

Building More Than a Gym

Through community-driven events like its “Play” sessions, where members can bring guests and participate in team-based workouts, the club aims to create relationships that extend beyond the gym floor.

“We really just want to bring like-minded people together and hopefully build stronger relationships outside of just training,” Day said.

As Nashville’s wellness scene continues to evolve, Nashville Performance Club is positioning itself as more than just another place to work out—offering a space where strength, recovery, and community all intersect.
