The Struggle 004 Set to Push Men Beyond Their Limits This June in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A transformative overnight endurance and leadership event returns to Middle Tennessee this June with The Struggle 004, the latest chapter in a growing movement designed to strip away comfort, expose weakness, and forge real strength—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Founded through a partnership between F3 Middle TN and the faith-based nonprofit 4:13 Strong, The Struggle is far more than a grueling physical challenge. It’s a call to action for men from every walk of life—especially those ready to reject passivity, self-doubt, and the illusion of ease.

Event leader, Ryan Smith says this isn’t just a race, it is a transformation.

Since its inception, the event has steadily grown in intensity and impact. Past events have included brutal overnight workouts through the streets of Nashville and rugged trails in Williamson County, where participants have hauled telephone poles for miles, endured silence, faced unrelenting physical trials, and listened to raw stories of struggle and redemption from men who’ve survived childhoods without fathers or homes.

The Struggle 004, is happening on Wednesday, June 4 and will raise the bar once again. With no published itinerary, no spectators, and no guarantees—except adversity, this installment promises 10–12+ hours of nonstop physical training, log carries, leadership shifts, and silent introspection. Every participant will carry literal weight—and the metaphorical burden of leadership, discipline, and self-examination.

“Expect discomfort. Expect to want to quit. But more than anything, expect to grow,” Smith says.

Participation is free but limited, and registration is now open to men 18 and older. Event details will be disclosed only to confirmed participants. To get started, contact Ryan Smith at smithr53@gmail.com or 615-587-5803.

The event echoes the mission of 4:13 Strong, which exists to help men break free from the cycles of poverty, incarceration, and addiction. The nonprofit equips its participants with a roadmap built on four pillars: discipline, hard work, faith, and brotherhood through accountability.

“Our mission is to teach you how to Struggle Well,” Smith added. “You don’t have to be elite—you just have to be willing.”
