(NASHVILLE, Tenn) — Lauren Robinson doesn’t just teach movement, she orchestrates experiences. As the founder of Club Vita Pilates Social Club, Robinson has created something Nashville has never seen before: a fusion of strength-based Pilates, creative art installations, and nightlife-inspired energy that is unlike anything ever done before.
For Robinson, movement isn’t just about fitness, it’s survival. “I grew up with the boys in the gym,” Robinson laughed. “I had anxiety my whole life, and movement was the only thing that grounded me. Whether it was lifting weights or yoga, I found control and peace through movement.”
That passion evolved into a career spanning multiple ways to move her body. Robinson is a 300-hour certified yoga instructor, a personal trainer, and a Pilates expert who has taught nearly every method including reformer to mat work. But her heart, she says, lies in mat Pilates, specifically, strength-based mat Pilates.
“I didn’t even realize it until someone pointed it out,” she says, “I’m the only strength-based mat Pilates instructor in Nashville.”
The Method:
Robinson’s classes are far from the dainty Pilates stereotype. Her approach blends personal training principles with traditional Pilates alignment, creating a program that progresses weekly through strength splits, breathwork, and fascia-focused movement.
“Every week we progress,” she explains. “We might start with breath and alignment, then move to longer tension holds, adding weight, or layering in variation. It’s a full progression that is strength-based, mindful, and deeply intentional.”
Club Vita: Movement, Community, and Nightlife
At the heart of Robinson’s mission is accessibility. Her classes welcome all bodies, all styles, and all levels of experience. “There’s not one aesthetic for Pilates,” she insists. “You don’t need to show up in Lululemon or Vuori. You show up in what feels good for your body. The only thing you need is a love for movement.”
This inclusive mindset is also what inspired Club Vita, a concept that brings movement into unconventional spaces, like rooftops and bars, to “shake up the nervous system.”
“When you’re in a familiar space doing something unfamiliar, your nervous system wakes up,” Robinson says. “That’s where growth and authenticity happen.”
Robinson describes Club Vita as existing in the “duality between ritual and rave.
“I don’t follow the rules of classical Pilates,” she admits. “I’ve never really followed the rules in life. I want to merge nightlife and movement. You see it with things like Diplo’s Run Club, people crave that energy. It doesn’t have to be exclusive. You can celebrate balance.”
That blend of high energy and high intention is what sets her apart. “I’m not here to make movement performative,” Robinson says. “I’m here to make it personal, emotional, and communal.”
Now, you can experience this type of movement too.
Porsche Pilates:
The night is expected to come to life on October 26-27 with Porsche Pilates, a two-day immersive event hosted in collaboration with Porsche Nashville. Tickets are available now.
Saturday night, which Robinson calls “The Show” will feature a house-music-driven Pilates class under the glow of light projections, curated to Rüfüs Du Sol’s Surrender remix album. At the center of it all: a fully carpet-wrapped Porsche, designed by local artist The Rug Dealer, serving as both art installation and symbolic centerpiece.

“Her car is the literal centerpiece,” Robinson says. “Mats will circle the Porsche, and bodies will move in an oval around it. It’s movement as art.”
Visual artists from Visual Minds will use projections onto the car during the class, transforming it into a living light installation. Each yoga mat will be custom-stenciled with empowering words and placed on mirrored blankets to reflect both the projection and the energy of the participants.
“Everyone’s welcome,” Robinson says. “It’s interest-led belonging. You don’t have to be perfect, but you will be challenged — mentally, physically, emotionally. The point isn’t to avoid triggers. It’s to move through them.”
Sunday: The Ritual
Robinson calls Sunday is The Ritual. The second day of Porsche Pilates focuses on slow, intentional, strength-based movement. “It’s a launch for my method The Cut, which merges form, fire, and fascia,” Robinson explains.
The day will include a guided lymphatic ritual with Saint Jane Beauty, a custom matcha experience from Ceremony Nashville, and styling activations from In My Sundays, Hargen Denim, The Salt Project and more. There will even be piercings, single-nail flash designs, and creative pop-ups, which create the perfect blend of wellness and play.
Local favorite Pink Cloud Coffee will provide a “fuel bar” on-site, offering caffeine with a cause. Every attendee will leave with electrolyte-infused water, a Flower Child gift card, and, as Robinson puts it, “the permission to move, feel, and belong.”
This event is invite only, but don’t worry — Robinson is gearing up to host many events just like this one.

A Visionary in Motion
Beyond Pilates, Robinson is a creative producer at heart, part movement coach, part event architect, and part artist. “My art is event creation,” she says. “Every activation I build is meant to make people feel something. Whether it’s light, music, movement, or connection — it’s all creative output.”
And for Nashville’s fitness community, Porsche Pilates might just be the wake-up call the city didn’t know it needed.
Will we see you there?
