NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans officially unveiled a new era for the franchise Thursday night, introducing a redesigned logo, updated uniforms and helmets as part of a major rebrand ahead of the 2026 NFL season. The unveiling happened at The Pinnacle on Thursday, March 12.
The announcement, revealed during a special event in Nashville, marks the organization’s first uniform overhaul since 2018 and signals a shift toward a more classic, heritage-inspired identity.
The most notable change is the retirement of the team’s longtime “flaming thumbtack” logo, which has been synonymous with the Titans since their move to Tennessee in the late 1990s. In its place, the franchise introduced a new emblem known as “The Shield,” featuring a bold block-style “T” surrounded by a circular design and the three stars from the Tennessee state flag.
Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said the updated branding reflects both the organization’s history and its vision for the future.
“We are incredibly proud to unveil this new look for the Tennessee Titans,” Strunk said. “Our uniforms and logo represent the strength of our history, the passion of our fans, and the bold future we’re building together.”
The redesign also introduces refreshed uniforms built around Titans blue, which becomes the primary color. The home uniforms feature light blue jerseys with red trim, while the road set includes white jerseys with complementary blue and red accents. Helmets incorporate the new circular “T” logo and design elements that nod to the franchise’s roots with the Houston Oilers.
Team executives said the new look was intentionally designed to blend nostalgia with a modern identity as the franchise approaches its 30th season in Tennessee. Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill described the rebrand as a natural evolution rather than a complete departure.
“It’s more of an evolution of the best of who we’ve always been and who we want to be going forward,” Nihill said. “There’s a clear familiarity, and we wanted that.”
The uniforms also feature subtle nods to Nashville’s culture, including a stripe inspired by guitar strings and other design cues meant to represent the state of Tennessee and its musical heritage.
The reveal comes during a pivotal moment for the organization, which is entering a new chapter both on and off the field. The team recently hired head coach Robert Saleh, is building around a young roster, and is preparing for the opening of a new dome-style Nissan Stadium expected in 2027.
While reactions from fans have been mixed, with some celebrating the modernized look and others expressing nostalgia for the original logo, the Titans say the rebrand is meant to create a timeless identity that can carry the franchise into the future.
“This just brings everything together in a way that feels like it is going to stand the test of time,” Nihill said.
