NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Nashville 1/2 Marathon, Marathon & 6.15K, organized by Run Nash, is gearing up for its highly anticipated event on October 26, 2024, with exciting news. First Horizon Bank has come on board as the presenting sponsor, further solidifying its presence in the local community. First Horizon Bank, already the Official Bank of the Nashville 1/2 Marathon and a significant name in Nashville through its sponsorship of First Horizon Park (home to the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club), will now play a key role in supporting this premier running event.
“We’re thrilled to have First Horizon Bank as our presenting sponsor,” said Malain McCormick, Owner and Operator of Run Nash. “Their strong ties to our community and dedication to promoting local events like the Nashville 1/2 Marathon reflect their commitment to making Nashville a vibrant place to live.”
Carol Yochem, Central Region President at First Horizon Bank, echoed this sentiment: “We are excited to be part of an event that promotes endurance and community as well as health and wellness. First Horizon believes in investing in our city and supporting initiatives encouraging people to live active, fulfilling lives.”
In addition to the new sponsorship, the event continues its partnership with Fleet Feet Nashville as the official training sponsor. Runners of all skill levels can join the Fleet Feet Running Club to train for the marathon, half marathon, or 6.15K, ensuring they’re prepared for race day. Registration for the training club is now open.
This year’s marathon will introduce a brand-new 6.15K course to showcase Nashville’s most iconic spots and honor the city’s 615 area code. Runners on this course will experience a scenic tour of The Gulch, Downtown Nashville, and the famous Music Row.
To enhance the overall race day experience, the event will feature live music, DJs along the course, motivational “Miles of Magic,” and a post-race finish line festival. With stroller start waves, interactive elements, and plenty of opportunities to relax, refuel, and celebrate, the Nashville 1/2 Marathon promises an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors. The event organizers have also thoughtfully ensured that the expo, finish line, and race hotel are close together, making race day logistics smooth for out-of-town participants.
Stay tuned for more updates on race-day features, including new high-tech elements designed to elevate the runner experience.
