Iron House Strength & Conditioning to Host Osteogenesis Imperfecta Lift-A-Thon

On December 7th, 2024, Iron House Strength & Conditioning, located at 3664A Central Pike, will proudly open its doors to a special cause: the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Lift-A-Thon. This unique event combines the energy of a fitness competition with the compassion of a community rallying around a shared goal—to raise awareness and support for Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as brittle bone disease.

The Lift-A-Thon is personally significant for many in our community, especially for those who know and care for Jeff, Keegan, and Ryker, whose lives have been impacted by OI. To raise $10,000, funds from the event will support a special speaking engagement led by Dr. Jeff Martus, one of the nation’s top Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons at Monroe Carell Jr. Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Dr. Martus, who specializes in treating OI, will share his expertise and shed light on this rare and often misunderstood condition. Vanderbilt is a leader in OI research and treatment, and this event is Iron House’s way of giving back and standing in solidarity with the families touched by OI.

The event is designed to welcome participants from all backgrounds and fitness levels, with competitions across five strength categories. Whether you’re a seasoned lifter or a newcomer looking to support a great cause, the Lift-A-Thon promises a day of community, strength, and support. Over 30 volunteers and a passionate crowd will create an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared purpose, making this more than just a fitness challenge; it’s a chance to advance critical research and show support for families affected by OI.

Join Iron House Strength & Conditioning on December 7th to lift not only weights but also the spirits of families in need. Together, we can push forward vital research and bring hope to those impacted by Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
