NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A former restaurant space in the heart of the city is now home to one of Nashville’s most immersive sports and entertainment experiences. At Five Iron Golf Nashville, indoor golf meets elevated dining, high-tech gaming, and a growing fitness connection, redefining what a night out (or a workout) can look like.

Housed in a nearly 15,000-square-foot venue, blends the space of two former restaurants into one expansive, multi-level-feeling space. By removing a shared wall and redesigning the layout, the team created a dynamic environment featuring 11 hitting bays, multi-sport simulators, two putting lanes, pool tables dual bar areas and more.
“It’s really neat because it feels like it has two levels, even though it’s only a few steps up,” said Ron McDougal, Director of Golf. “You can stand at the top and see almost every bay when they’re full. It’s a lot of fun to take in.”
More Than Just Golf
While the name may suggest a traditional golf experience, the concept at Five Iron extends far beyond the fairway.
Each bay is powered by advanced simulator technology, offering access to more than 500 courses around the world—from championship venues to casual par-3 layouts. But for those who have never picked up a club, the venue leans heavily into entertainment.
Three bays feature multi-sport simulation, allowing guests to play everything from baseball and soccer to skeet shooting and dodgeball-style games. It’s a design choice that ensures accessibility for all skill levels.
“There’s something for everyone,” McDougal said. “Whether you’re athletic or not, you can step in and have a good time. Groups and parties love it.”
Elevated Food and Drink
Unlike many entertainment venues, Five Iron Golf Nashville places a strong emphasis on its culinary program. With a full kitchen and a large, open bar repurposed from its previous tenants, the space offers a restaurant-quality experience alongside gameplay.
Guests can enjoy a wide whiskey selection, chef-curated dishes, and a newly refreshed menu launching the first week of May 2026. A secondary upstairs bar also caters to private events, allowing for seamless service during parties and group bookings.
Ron McDougal Has Experience Behind The Put
McDougal brings decades of experience to the role, including time spent working in top golf markets across the country. Originally from Texas, he played collegiate golf at the University of Texas before building his career in New York and New Jersey.
His background also includes work at Golf & Body NYC, a facility that focused on the connection between physical fitness and golf performance. That philosophy continues to influence his approach in Nashville and is why is passionate about helping run Five Iron.
“Golf used to have this stigma that you didn’t want to work out too much,” McDougal said. “Now, the top players are athletes. They’re in the gym constantly, working on strength, mobility, and endurance.”
That evolution is reflected inside Five Iron, where guests can incorporate resistance training tools, learning golf through their onsite program called Golf Forever.
A Growing Industry
As indoor golf continues to expand nationwide, Five Iron Golf has quickly positioned itself as a leader in the space. Founded by Jared Solomon and Michael Doyle, the brand has grown rapidly, with new locations opening across the country and even internationally.
Nashville’s location is no exception. Even before opening its doors, the venue had already secured nearly 90 memberships—highlighting the demand for a space that blends sport, socializing, and skill development.
“We’re trying to make golf more accessible,” McDougal said. “People see us as entertainment, but we also offer lessons, club fittings, and coaching.”
Many who hold memberships can stop by throughout the week to get a quick lesson in or simply put their skills to the test ina fun environment.
McDougal said they will soon be closing membership availability, and strongly suggest to visit their website to claim yours before they are all gone.
A New Kind of Fitness Experience
For a city deeply rooted in both fitness and social culture, Five Iron sits at the intersection of both worlds. It’s a place where a night out can double as a workout and where beginners can feel just as comfortable as seasoned golfers.
Whether it’s a casual outing with friends, a private event, or a serious training session, the venue offers a fresh take on how Nashville residents can stay active while having fun.
As McDougal puts it, “There’s no downside to coming here.”
