Deck the Halls Strongman Competition Set to Bring Strength, Community, and Purpose to Middle Tennessee

(MURFREESBORO, Tenn.)  This November, strength and service come together under one roof at Carbon Gym for the Deck the Halls Strongman Competition, a holiday-themed showcase of grit, community, and giving back.

Hosted at Carbon Gym Murfreesboro (1311 Gresham Park Dr.) on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will feature athletes from across the region competing in classic Strongman-style events like the Axle Deadlift (18”), Yoke Walk, Max Axle Press, and Sandbag Medley — all judged by none other than Evan “T-Rex” Singleton, the 2025 Strongest Man on Earth, 7x Giants Live Champion, and local legend.

The family-friendly event promises more than just competition. Guests can expect live music, food, local vendors, and festive holiday fun while supporting meaningful causes.

A Mission Rooted in Community and Charity

True to Carbon Gym’s mission — “Lifestyle. Community. Culture.” — the event aims to build more than physical strength. It’s about strengthening the bonds of the community while giving back to those in need.

This year’s charity partner is Operation Hillie Brogues (501c3), an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families through mental health resources, suicide prevention, and reintegration programs. Founded in honor of U.S. Army Ranger Hillie Brogues, the nonprofit embodies the same resilience, courage, and teamwork celebrated in Strongman competitions.

“We’re passionate about building a fitness community that goes beyond workouts by hosting events, fostering connections, and giving back,” says Carbon Gym Owner Tracey Yates. “Over the past year, we’ve grown our community outreach and are focused on expanding it even further in 2026.”

Fueling Strength and Celebration

Athlete registrations will directly support Evan Singleton’s journey to the World’s Strongest Man competition, while sponsorships help cover event essentials such as athlete shirts, venue logistics, food, and media production.

Spectators can grab tickets for $10 online or $15 at the door, with proceeds contributing to Carbon Gym’s facility fund — further fueling its community outreach.

Weigh-ins take place Friday, November 14 (3–7 p.m.), and again Saturday morning (8–8:30 a.m.) before the competition kicks off at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Athletes are encouraged to bring their holiday spirit (Christmas-themed gear is welcome) and families are invited to celebrate the season with a day full of energy, empowerment, and purpose.
