On June 5th, Centennial Park was buzzing with excitement as Fleet Feet Nashville hosted The Big Run to celebrate Global Running Day. The event was a huge success, thanks to the generous sponsorship from Michelob Ultra and Brooks.
Fleet Feet Nashville’s dedication to promoting health and fitness shone brightly as they raised an impressive $1,684 for Girls On The Run. This organization is close to our hearts, working tirelessly to inspire young girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
The Big Run attracted a diverse crowd, with 575 participants pre-registering and over 30 more signing up on the event day. This made it one of the most significant Global Running Day events ever organized by Fleet Feet Nashville. Runners of all ages and abilities laced up their shoes, eager to hit the pavement and celebrate the joy of running.
What made this event truly special was the global representation. Participants hailed from 14 different U.S. states and even countries as far away as Australia, India, and Luxembourg. This international turnout underscores the universal love for running and the power of community events to bring people together from all corners of the world, making each participant feel a part of something bigger.
Centennial Park provided a picturesque backdrop for the run, with its lush greenery and vibrant atmosphere adding to the overall experience. Runners enjoyed a well-organized event with hydration stations, cheering volunteers, and a post-run celebration featuring refreshing Michelob Ultra and activities sponsored by Brooks.
As we reflect on this memorable day, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported The Big Run. Your enthusiasm and generosity made this event a true celebration of the running community and its positive impact on our lives, inspiring us to continue promoting health and fitness.
Here’s to many more runs, friendships, and milestones. See you at the next Fleet Feet Nashville event!
