It’s crazy how unhealthy habits can sneak up on you. One day, you’re living your life—juggling a demanding job, taking care of your family, handling responsibilities—and the next thing you know, you’re carrying around an extra 25-50 pounds and completely out of shape.
I was in my 40s when it hit me. I realized just how much weight I had gained, how tired and sluggish I was, and how it made me feel. But honestly, I let my health take a back seat. Between work, family, and everything else, I didn’t make time for myself.
Then, one day, I ended up in the hospital with chest pains. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. The doctor told me it was stress-related, but it also served as a huge wake-up call. That moment changed me. It made me look at everything differently. I realized I didn’t want to be one of those dads who drives himself into an early grave and leaves his children fatherless.
So, I made a choice. I decided to make a change. I lost over 25 pounds, made fitness a part of my daily life, and committed to living healthier. Was it easy? Heck no. Did I know everything about health and fitness back then? Not even close. But I knew that consistency would get me there.
Fast forward 17 years, and I’m in the best shape of my life. More importantly, I’ve been able to help hundreds of others make that same transformation for the past 13 years as a Personal Trainer & Weight Loss Specialist.
I know what it feels like to be overweight, stressed, and feel like you’re wasting time at the gym. But trust me, you’ve got to keep going. Not just for yourself, but for your family. If I can do it, so can you.
