Orangetheory Fitness Opening New Studio in Melrose

Top nationally-recognized fitness studio to kick-off membership pre-sales with public event on July 20.

July 10, 2019 | NASHVILLE, TN – Orangetheory® Fitness, the scientifically-backed and fast-growing fitness franchise, will open its newest studio location in the Nashville Melrose neighborhood this fall. The studio will be next to M.L. Rose Craft Beer & Burgers and directly across from Sinema on 8th Avenue South.

A membership pre-registration party will be held on Saturday, July 20 to offer the community a discounted Founder’s Rate—the lowest possible membership rate. The public event will take place in the parking lot of the new studio location from 9 a.m.—3 p.m. The first 100 membership sign-ups will receive a complimentary heart-rate monitor. Guests will also be able to enjoy complimentary food, giveaways and more.

The new center is co-owned by Brigitte Edwards and Evan Latham. This is Edwards’ fourth studio location and Latham’s second. In addition to Orangetheory’s Melrose studio, Edwards and Latham co-own the Green Hills Orangetheory.

“We see so much potential in the Melrose community—it’s also conveniently located to many surrounding neighborhoods, and we’re excited to offer residents, employees and employers a convenient place to work out,” Edwards said. “So many people love our classes, and this provides them with new class options to help fit into their busy schedules.”

The heart-rate monitored, high-intensity workout is scientifically designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that spikes metabolism and increases energy, allowing clients to continue burning calories for 36 hours following the workout. Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), Orangetheory Fitness is a 60-minute workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Participants burn an average of 500+ total calories per 60-minute training session (individual results vary). Led by highly skilled coaches, each Orangetheory Fitness workout incorporates endurance, strength and power elements through a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX® suspension training and free weights.

“At Orangetheory, we seek to not only provide members a fun and encouraging atmosphere to work out in but one that’s conveniently located too,” Latham said. “This studio location makes perfect sense for us as the Melrose community continues to grow, and I can’t wait to meet more of its community members.”

The new studio will be located at 2601 8th Ave South and will have its own parking lot. Those interested in applying for a coaching or sales associate position at Orangetheory Fitness’ newest location can contact the studio by emailing studio1200@orangetheoryfitness.com or calling 615-988-1334. Membership will go on sale July 20 at a public membership pre-registration event.

About Orangetheory Fitness:
Orangetheory® Fitness (www.orangetheoryfitness.com) is a scientifically designed, one-of-a-kind, group personal training workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart-rate-monitored workouts are designed to get participants within the target-training zone of 84 percent to 91 percent of their heart rate, which stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Led by highly skilled coaches, each Orangetheory Fitness workout incorporates endurance, strength and power elements through a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX® suspension training and free weights. The end result is more energy, visible toning and the ‘Orange Effect’ – where participants keep burning calories for up to 36 hours post-workout (the Orangetheory Fitness ‘afterburn’) for an average of 500+ total calories burned per every 60-minute workout.
