Dell Women in Action tee off Friday in Franklin to benefit the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition.
I love seeing women gather around a sport. I love it even more when the reason reaches beyond the scorecard.
On Friday, October 30, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dell Women in Action hosts a charity golf tournament at Franklin Bridge Golf Club, 750 Riverview Drive in Franklin, benefiting the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition. It is a timely reminder, in the last days of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, that support needs to keep going when October ends.
The support behind the pink
The coalition’s work gets specific. Its Emergency Access Fund helps Tennesseans undergoing breast cancer treatment with bills such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities, medical costs and insurance premiums. Treatment is already a lot to carry; keeping the lights on should not be another solo event.
That is the part I want to hear about from the people on the course. Why did they sign up? Who are they playing for? And what does practical support look like to someone navigating treatment right here in Middle Tennessee? A round of golf can open a conversation that lasts longer than one awareness month.
The tournament is one opportunity to join that conversation. If golf is not your thing, the coalition also shares ways to support its work directly. Either way, let’s make sure the story is about the people this helps, not just a sea of pink polos.
