Rise & Run Spring Fest: A Day of Movement, Joy, and Support for Nashville Families

Rise & Run Spring Fest: A Day of Movement, Joy, and Support for Nashville Families
On Saturday, April 4th, something special is happening in Nashville—and it’s bigger than just a field day.
Five organizations are coming together with one shared mission: to serve, support, and celebrate single mothers and their children, as well as local elementary and middle school students involved in the Move! Music City.
The result?
Rise & Run Spring Fest — a high-energy, heart-centered community event designed to bring families together through fun, fitness, and meaningful resources.

This event is powered by a strong lineup of organizations committed to making a difference in Middle Tennessee:
Each group brings something unique to the table, but together, they’re creating an experience that goes far beyond a typical Saturday outing.

From the moment families arrive at Tennessee State University, they’ll step into an environment built for connection, joy, and support.
Here’s what the day will include:
  • Easter Egg Hunt for kids of all ages
  • Traditional Field Day Competitions that get everyone moving
  • Community Resource Stations offering helpful tools and information
  • Food Distribution provided by From Your Father Foundation
  • Health & Resource Support from Wellpoint
  • New and Gently Used Shoes for children in need.
This isn’t just about activities—it’s about creating an experience where families feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

At its core, Rise & Run Spring Fest is about dignity and connection.
It’s about giving single moms a space to breathe, laugh, and enjoy time with their kids.
It’s about making sure children leave not just with candy and prizes—but with essentials like shoes, food, and encouragement.
And it’s about reminding our community what’s possible when organizations come together with a shared purpose.
The goal is simple:
Every family leaves with full hearts, helpful resources, full bellies, proper footwear, and unforgettable memories.

📍 Location: Tennessee State University
📅 Date: Saturday, April 4
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

In a world where many events are built around selling something, this one is built around giving.
Giving time.
Giving resources.
Giving support.
Giving families a moment to just enjoy being together.
That’s what Nashville Fit is all about, and Rise & Run Spring Fest is a perfect reflection of that mission in action.

If you’re looking to get involved, volunteer, or support this initiative, now’s the time. Because when we come together as a community, we don’t just host events—we change lives.
