Nashville, We’re Ending Rooftop Season with a Bang. Literally.

Glow sticks on a rooftop Thursday. Free Monday drumming at Walk of Fame. Toree Holloway understood the assignment.

I love a workout that makes me forget I’m working out. Give me good music, good people and permission to be a little ridiculous, and I’m in. That is exactly the energy Toree Holloway brings to Cardio Drum Nation.

We’ve spent the past year bringing free workouts to the riverfront and downtown parks with Nashville Downtown Partnership and Metro Parks. One of my favorite parts has been watching local instructors take those spaces and make them their own. Toree shows up at Walk of Fame Park with drumsticks, exercise balls and enough energy to make a Monday evening feel like a night out.

You have one more chance to catch her there this month: Monday, October 26, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. The class is free. You can come straight from work, bring a friend who swears they have no rhythm and jump in at your own pace. The park classes are weather permitting, so check Nashville Downtown Partnership’s updates before you go.

And before that Monday? Toree is taking the party to the rooftop.

Drum & Glow is Thursday, October 22, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Fogg Street Lawn Club, 648 Fogg Street. This is Cardio Drum Nation’s last rooftop class of 2026, and she’s closing it out with glow sticks, skyline views, eight cardio-drumming routines and a dress-as-your-favorite-musician theme. There’s a prize for best costume. Nashville, I expect you to show up with a little commitment to the bit.

All the equipment is provided for the rooftop class. You bring water, something you can move in and whatever version of yourself wants to sing along while holding drumsticks.

What makes this fun to me is that you can keep the party going. Go full glow-stick rock star Thursday. Come back for Toree’s free Walk of Fame class the following Monday and bring the friend who asked why you were smiling through a workout.

The rooftop season may be ending, but we’re keeping the downtown beats going through the end of October. Find the free Monday class on the Downtown Parks calendar, and get your rooftop ticket from Cardio Drum Nation on Eventbrite.
