This September, runners, walkers, and families from across Middle Tennessee will gather at Two Rivers Park for more than just another road race. They’ll come together to celebrate resilience, personal growth, and the belief that every journey deserves to be recognized.
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Finish Line Society will host the inaugural Nashville Fall Forward Classic, offering 5K, 10K, and 15K race distances, along with a virtual option for participants who want to be part of the experience from anywhere. Designed for athletes of every ability, the event welcomes everyone—from first-time walkers to experienced distance runners—with one shared goal: moving forward.
Founded on the idea that every finish line represents something greater than a medal or a time on the clock, Finish Line Society believes the true victory lies in the journey each participant takes long before race day.
“This race isn’t just about running,” said Finish Line Society founder Cole Lindquist. “Every finish line represents a story. For some people, it’s chasing a personal record. For others, it’s taking the first step toward a healthier lifestyle. Sometimes, it’s simply proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you ever imagined. We wanted to create an event where every participant feels like they belong and where every journey is worth celebrating.”
That philosophy is woven into every aspect of the Nashville Fall Forward Classic. Rather than focusing solely on competition, the event is designed to create an atmosphere where personal achievement, community connection, and encouragement take center stage.
The timing of the event also carries special significance. Held during National Recovery Month, the race will benefit The Next Door Recovery, a Nashville nonprofit that empowers women to overcome addiction, rebuild their lives, and achieve lasting recovery. A portion of every registration will directly support the organization’s life-changing programs and services.
For Lindquist, partnering with The Next Door Recovery was a natural fit.
“Recovery isn’t just about overcoming addiction,” he said. “It’s about choosing hope, growth, and a new beginning every single day. Those values reflect exactly what Finish Line Society stands for, and we’re honored to partner with an organization that is changing lives throughout our community.”
The Nashville Fall Forward Classic promises a full race-day experience beyond the course itself. Participants can expect professionally timed results, custom finisher medals, participant shirts, overall and age-group awards, live music, a vendor village, local community partners, and post-race festivities. Fleet Feet Nashville will serve as the event’s Official Running Partner and will host packet pickup leading up to race day.
As the first signature event produced by Finish Line Society, the race also marks the beginning of a larger mission: creating endurance events that strengthen communities while celebrating the individual stories of the people who participate.
Whether someone is crossing their very first finish line, returning after injury, pursuing a personal best, or simply looking for a meaningful way to spend a Saturday morning, the Nashville Fall Forward Classic offers an opportunity to be part of something bigger than a race.
Registration is now open, and organizers invite runners, walkers, families, and supporters from across Nashville and Middle Tennessee to join them for a morning dedicated to movement, resilience, community, and purpose.
