Hughston Clinic Orthopedics Expands in Lebanon with State-of-the-Art New Facility

Middle Tennessee is getting a major upgrade in orthopedic care as Hughston Clinic Orthopedics officially opens its brand-new medical office building in Lebanon. Designed with patient experience, accessibility, and cutting-edge technology in mind, the new facility represents a significant investment in the health and wellness of Wilson County and the surrounding communities.

Beginning May 11, 2026, patients will be welcomed into the newly constructed facility located at 115 Willard Hagan Drive. The expansion nearly doubles the clinic’s patient capacity with 32 patient rooms, helping reduce wait times and improve access to specialized orthopedic care. The location also offers on-site imaging, bracing services, physical therapy, and hand therapy — all conveniently housed under one roof. Even more exciting for local residents, a newly built outpatient surgery center next door allows patients to undergo procedures close to home without extensive travel.

For over 77 years, Hughston Clinic has built a reputation for delivering world-class orthopedic care, and this new Lebanon expansion continues that legacy. Lee Pearce, Chief Operating Officer of Hughston Clinic Orthopedics, emphasized the organization’s ongoing commitment to patient-focused care and collaboration among highly trained orthopedic specialists and healthcare professionals.

“This project has been years in the making,” said Dr. Jonathan Cornelius, orthopedic surgeon and President of Hughston Clinic Orthopedics. “This new office will allow easier access for our patients and will integrate state-of-the-art technology to complement the world-class care our patients can expect from us.”

The Lebanon location features an impressive roster of orthopedic specialists covering nearly every area of musculoskeletal care:
  • Dr. Jonathan Cornelius specializes in robotic joint replacement, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and total joint replacement. He was also the first surgeon in Tennessee to adopt robotic joint replacement of the knee and hip.
  • Dr. William Melton specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, treating conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow.
  • Dr. Shawn Mountain specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery and serves as a team physician for several local schools and athletic programs.
  • Dr. Jennifer O’Donnell brings expertise in spine pain treatment, cervical trauma, and innovations in complex spine surgery.
  • Dr. Lucas Richie offers expertise in sports medicine, orthobiologics, and arthroscopic procedures, and serves as an official team physician for local schools.
Dr. Richie shared his excitement about the impact the new facility will have on the local community:
“Our new facility represents a complete transformation in how orthopedic care is delivered locally — bringing together on-site imaging, bracing, physical therapy, and nearly every orthopedic subspecialty under one roof, all connected directly to our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center.”
Dr. Jennifer O’Donnell added that the expanded facility will also improve collaboration between specialties and allow the clinic to care for even more patients dealing with spine-related conditions in the Lebanon area.

With eight locations across Middle Tennessee and a team of 16 physicians, Hughston Clinic Orthopedics continues to establish itself as one of the region’s premier providers of orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. From sports injuries and joint replacements to spine surgery and rehabilitation, the organization’s mission remains clear: deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that helps people return to the activities they love.
