From Pilates to Thriller at Riverfront Park

A Pilates flow, a Thriller flash mob and happy hour at ZUZU. This Thursday, downtown Nashville understood the assignment.

I love a workout with a little personality. Give me fresh air, a river view, and a reason to text my friends, “No, seriously, you have to come.” This Thursday, downtown Nashville understood the assignment.

On October 29, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., Nashville Fit and the Nashville Downtown Partnership are bringing Good Spirits, Bad Intentions to Riverfront Park South, in front of Ascend Amphitheater. The plan: an all-levels Pilates flow, a Thriller flash mob, then happy-hour specials at ZUZU. Your mat-to-dance-floor transition has never had better timing.

A downtown workout that feels like a night out

You do not need a perfect teaser pose or a dance résumé. Come move, learn what you can of the choreography, and laugh with the person next to you when your feet go rogue. Costumes are encouraged; pick one you can actually squat in.

This is exactly why our work with the Nashville Downtown Partnership matters. We have spent the past year helping bring approachable movement into downtown parks. A class in a public space can turn a workday into a little time for yourself, then into an evening with your people. Metro Parks Nashville collaborates on the programming, too.

Bring a mat and a friend. RSVP through SweatPals is required. Park at the 222 Second Avenue South garage and bring your ticket to ZUZU for validation. This outdoor event is weather permitting, so check the Downtown Partnership’s Instagram Story before heading out.

The Reel may take 30 seconds. The good mood should last a little longer.

Good Spirits, Bad Intentions: Thursday, October 29, 5–7 p.m., Riverfront Park South, Nashville. Event details and RSVP information.
