What happens when fitness, field-day competition, Halloween, a fall festival, and a great cause all collide?
This year, Nashville Fit’s Fit Crawl is getting a major makeover.
Â
On Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to noon at E. Rose Park,
Â
Nashville Fit Magazine is bringing together the city’s fitness and wellness community for a completely reimagined Fit Crawl — part field day, part fall festival, part carnival and, most importantly, a fundraiser supporting the fight against breast cancer.
And this year, Nashville Fit is bringing some friends along for the fun.
Following their collaboration on Nashville’s Ultimate Adult Field Day, Forever Field Day and Just Play Entertainment are joining Nashville Fit to bring the energy of their adult field-day experience to Fit Crawl.
The result? A Halloween morning built around movement, community, costumes, competition, and giving back.
Field Day Meets Fit Crawl
Forever Field Day was created around a simple idea: adults need opportunities to play, too.
The concept brings back the classic field-day experiences many of us remember from childhood — relay races, tug-of-war, team challenges, and plenty of friendly competition — and gives them a grown-up twist.
Now, some of that same energy is coming to Fit Crawl. Teams from across Nashville’s fitness community will have the opportunity to represent their gyms, studios, businesses, run clubs, and organizations as they go head-to-head in a series of fun challenges produced alongside Forever Field Day and Just Play Entertainment.
This isn’t about finding Nashville’s greatest athlete.
It’s about finding out which crew can work together, compete, laugh at themselves, and maybe walk away with some serious bragging rights.
Â
Field Day registration will be $25 per participant.
Â
So grab your training partners, coworkers, gym buddies, or that one ridiculously competitive friend who still talks about winning the three-legged race in fifth grade and build your team.
More Than a Fitness Competition
While competition will be a big part of the morning, the new Fit Crawl is designed to be much bigger than a workout. The festival itself is completely free for the community to attend.
Â
Throughout E. Rose Park, attendees can expect a fall-festival and carnival atmosphere filled with local businesses, fitness and wellness organizations, interactive vendor activations, entertainment, games, and opportunities to connect with the people who make Nashville’s health and wellness community special.
And considering Fit Crawl lands directly on Halloween, there is one additional requirement.
Okay, it’s not a requirement. But costumes are highly encouraged.
We want superheroes competing against zombies. Trainers dressed like ’80s aerobics instructors. Entire gyms showing up in ridiculous team costumes. Kids, families, and spectators getting into the Halloween spirit.
Come ready to move, laugh, and have some fun.
Fitness for Something Bigger
Behind all of the games and costumes is the real reason we’re gathering.
We want to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.
Fit Crawl has always brought Nashville’s fitness community together, but this year’s event gives that community a chance to use its collective energy for something bigger than ourselves.
Registration fees from the Field Day competition will support the fundraising effort, and participating vendors will be asked to donate in exchange for activation space rather than paying a traditional vendor fee.
That means every team that enters, every business that participates, and every person who helps spread the word contributes to the larger mission. We want to create an event where doing good doesn’t have to feel formal. Sometimes giving back looks like a gala or a charity dinner.
Sometimes it looks like wearing a ridiculous costume while trying to beat another gym in a relay race.
We’re good with both.
Three Organizations, One Community
The partnership between Nashville Fit Magazine, Forever Field Day, and Just Play Entertainment makes sense because all three organizations believe in the power of experiences to bring people together.
Forever Field Day is built around rediscovering play and creating connections through friendly competition. Just Play Entertainment specializes in creating interactive experiences that get people off the sidelines and into the action. Nashville Fit has spent years connecting the people, businesses, organizations, and causes that make up Middle Tennessee’s fitness and wellness community.
Together, we’re creating something that feels less like a traditional fitness event and more like a purposeful community celebration. You don’t need to be an elite athlete. You don’t even need to compete. You need to show up.
Nashville, Build Your Team
So here’s the challenge.
If you’re a gym, build a team. If you’re a fitness studio, challenge the studio down the street. If you’re a business, rally your employees. If you’re a trainer, recruit your clients. If you’re a run club, wellness organization, or group of friends who think you’ve got what it takes, we want you there. And if competing isn’t your thing, come anyway. Bring the family. Wear a costume. Explore the vendors. Cheer on your friends. Enjoy the festival and help us raise money for breast cancer research.
