Nashville Fitness Studios Offer New Ways to Workout During Coronavirus Shutdown

A number of gym chains across the U.S. closed their doors this week to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Working up a sweat and staying healthy while stuck at home can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. Nashville fitness studios are leading the pack and coming up with a creative ways to keep you moving: live-streamed and recorded digital classes you can join from anywhere.

Some of these studios include: Orangetheory Fitness, QNTM Fit Life, Marathon Pilates, Pure Barre, Shakti Power Yoga, and others will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

Orangetheory Fitness

Orangetheory is sharing a new 30-minute workout video each day, featuring some of its most popular coaches from around the world. According to the fitness center, the workouts don’t require any special equipment, but may feature everyday household items.

Orangetheory’s first at-home workout was designed to help alleviate stress and elevate your mood.

QNTM Fit Life

QNTM is using their ambassadors to video at-home workouts and posting them to their Instagram page. Ambassador Mario Devon utilizes movements like Box Jumps on Stairs, Jumping Lunges, Jumping Squats to Squat Walk, Push Ups to Side Mountain Climbers, Jumping Squats to Quad Pat, Explosive Push Ups at the Top, and High Knees. He’s keeping the workout to 20-30 minutes.

Shakti Power Yoga

Shakti is going live on Instagram every day during the shutdown and has a full schedule to choose from. You can still get all the benefits of yoga as well as some meditaiton classes as well.

Marathon Pilates

Never fear! The Marathon community is staying strong. For anyone who missed their latest email:

“Marathon is offering virtual classes online every day under the Marathon Pilates 12South location on Mindbody in an effort to provide health and movement. No equipment is necessary. Instructors will send out Zoom links to those that sign up for online classes.”

Pure Barre

Lift, tone, and burn from home. Pure Barre is taking its patented method to Facebook with a free live classes. Need something to keep you busy in the meantime? Check out your nearest local studio on Instagram for more classes too.

Next Level Fitness

The largest personal training studio in Nashville, Next Level Fitness, is pushing out home workouts on it’s Instagram page. Personal trainers, Gerell Webb and Nathaniel Edman have got some good ones for you to try out! Owner Jack Haynes as even join in too!
