Hope Anderson

 

Hope Anderson, RD, LDN is a Vanderbilt-trained dietitian/nutritionist whose focus is empowering others to live healthy, nutritionally balanced lives. As a nutrition enthusiast, inspired by a lifelong fascination of wellness and the impact nutrition has on health, Hope seeks to empower you to rethink your relationship with food and wants nothing more than to teach you how to love beets. Hope currently serves as the resident nutritionist for the Nashville Ballet Company dancers, as well as for Foundation Wellness, a corporate wellness company in Nashville. Terry Barga

 

As the owner of Life Fitness Academy, Terry is very experienced in the art of rehabilitation. His workouts are designed to work the weaker areas first, much like rehabbing an injury, which in turn strengthens the body to resist future injury. Nutrition is also a passion of Terry’s, and he believes it is crucial to success in physical fitness training. Chris Byford

 

Chris is a Baptiste certified yoga instructor with over 1000 hours of teaching and over 500 hours of training. He has been teaching and coaching for over half of his life and currently teaches at Shakti Power Yoga, Vigor Fitness, Freebird Yoga Fusion, Hot Yoga Plus and Fahrenheit Yoga Studio. He also volunteer teaches for the nonprofit Small World Yoga. Chris believes yoga has changed his life and that it is my purpose to share this transformative practice with as many people as possible, as often as he can.

 

Haley Cahill

 

Haley works at Alpha Omicron Pi International Headquarters where she is the assistant director of communications and editor of the sorority’s magazine. She loves weightlifting, boxing at Title Boxing Club Green Hills, and running through Nashville. She is looking forward to obtaining her personal training certification in the coming months. Though she is a huge advocate of a healthy diet, she never turns down a trip to Jeni’s or Five Daughters Bakery.

 

Jaime Carroll

 

Jamie is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer specializing in strength, weight-loss and mind-body transformations. She has worked with individuals and groups designing programs scientifically proven to get results. As a Medical Exercise professional she also works closely with those in post rehab and injury prevention. Her philosophy is a simple and holistic approach to mind body training. “Start where you are; and I’ll guide you with the right tools and techniques to get you to where you want to be.” Her background in training includes kettlebells, bodyweight and natural movement, medical exercise, and Integrative Wellness and Life Coaching.

 

Torri Carver

 

Torri is a 24 year old from a small town called Gainesboro, TN. She graduated from Jackson County High School then went on to attend Tennessee Technological University where she graduated with a duel Bachelors degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice. Currently the Director of Social Services for Kindred Health Care, Carver is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at Middle Tennessee State University. In her spare time, you can find Torri running, meal prepping and spending time with friends and family. She is a very goal driven person and has a true desire to help others reach their goals, whatever those may be!

 

Ronald Cerdas

 

Costa Rican by birth, Tennessean by heart, Ronald has made Nashville his home since 2003 when he moved to the USA. After a whole life of eating a carnivore diet, he decided to stop eating any animal derived products and become a vegan “foodie” to prevent diabetes and colon cancer which have run in his family for generations. Ronald enjoys transforming normal recipes into vegan dishes and post them on his Instagram (@nash_vegan) so the world can see that eating vegan doesn’t mean that you only eat lettuce all day, and it’s super healthy for you! He also enjoys walking around Nashville and taking pictures of his pug.

 

Megan Conner

 

Known for her spunk, loud mouth and challenging fitness classes, Megan has been teaching and training for over 15 years. She started in fitness by teaching kickboxing and spinning while attending Baylor University. In 2006, Megan moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music. She went on to became an acclaimed trainer teaching at Barry’s Bootcamp as well as opening her own personal training studio. Megan now teaches at Shed Fitness in Belle Meade and other neighboring studios. Aside from training, Megan finds solace in running and has had the opportunity to run the Boston Marathon. Joanna Crawford

 

Joanna is a dietitian/nutritionist focused on helping others create balance in a world that is messy, chaotic, and pulling us in all different directions. She is on a mission to teach people that living a healthy life doesn’t have to be boring and restrictive and exercising doesn’t have to be punishment. She is striving to help people find that balance between exercise and nutrition in this crazy life and hopefully loving themselves more in the process. Graduating from the University of Alabama in Food & Nutrition, Joanna went on to get a Masters in Exercise & Nutrition and finish the Dietetic Internship at Lipscomb University. Jennifer is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Certified Exercise Physiologist who has a passion for teaching people how to love themselves and create a well-balanced life they’re excited about! She is obsessed with golden retrievers, yoga pants, photography, and sharing home cooked meals with people she loves. Jennifer graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Exercise Science and is proud to call Nashville home. Matt Dye

 

Born and raised in Salem, Illinois, Matt is an instructor at Barry’s Bootcamp (HIIT Program with a base of half cardio training and half strength training with the use of treadmills, dumbbells, resistance bands, medicine balls, etc.). As a certified personal trainer and group instructor, Matt is also a personal trainer at Next Level Fitness. After graduating from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, fitness has become his whole life. His fitness and life philosophy is “EveryBODY is different. Find what works for you, and stick to it.”

 

Tier Elera

 

A native of Los Angeles, CA, Elera relocated to Nashville and began piloting her original routines at various locations in Rutherford County. She now teaches 60 minute sessions in Smyrna and Nashville and is known to pack a facility past its capacity.

 

Trey Fitch

 

Trey is from the mean streets of Memphis, TN (actually the suburbs) and has always found himself enjoying his time spent in the weight room over his sports on the field. Trey discovered CrossFit in 2012 through a lifelong friend and enjoys pushing himself during training and competing in local competitions. Trey’s passion for coaching is “seeing someone accomplish a goal, whether it’s squatting 300 lbs or jumping on a 20” box.” It’s the most rewarding part of what he does. Born in Calabria, Italy, Josh is a PA Boxing State Champion and the fastest boxer to ever become a State Champion in Golden Gloves History! He is the Valley Sportsfest Cruiserweight Champ and is currently the WPO cruiserweight champion and belt holder. Josh is currently ranked 5th in the nation!

 

Kaitlyn Horwitz

 

As an energetic advocate of all things nutrition, wellness and fitness, Kaitlyn is making her mark in the industry as she finishes up her nutrition certificate. Born and raised up north in Canada, Mike’s unique abilities and training methods as a strength coach and personal trainer led him to be sought after by some of the Nashville Predators most
elite players to help them push toward bettering themselves as athletes. Having spent the last three years building a large, diverse clientele, the energy, attention to detail, and work ethic he brings during every session makes it clear he loves what he does and strives to bring out the best in everyone he encounters.

Joe works as the “behind the scenes guy” at Life Fitness Academy. He is constantly working on everything from marketing and administration projects to bringing the crazy ninja obstacles to life the rest of the team dreams up! James Mixon

 

James is an experienced rock climber and outdoorsmen who currently works as a climbing guide and instructor at Climb Nashville. Although climbing instruction is his specialty, he has a background in numerous outdoor sports, including mountain biking, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, backpacking, and mountaineering. He has been trained by the American Mountain Guide Association, the National Outdoor Leadership School, and Wilderness Medical Associates. When he feels like it, he’s also a full-time student at Belmont University.

Kate’s goals through GetFit615 are to encourage students to love their bodies by using them properly and nourishing them effectively. She believes that fitness is a lifestyle, not a 6 week program or an hour long workout. She uses functional training and will never do exactly the same workout twice! Jeremey Tate

 

Jeremey Tate (JT) was drawn to martial arts at a young age. As he matured and entered high school, he changed paths to wrestling, where he soon discovered the weight room and his love of not only training but helping others achieve their goals. In that environment, everyone was there for one thing: to better themselves. Joining a local gym after high school set JT up for a career in fitness by soon becoming a certified personal trainer. Obtaining his NASM Personal Trainer Certification 2 years ago, Jeremy has also added a number of certifications to his name since then, including Crossfit 1L, Crossfit Weight Lifting l1, MMA Conditioning Specialist, Group Training Specialist, as well as ABC (After Breast Cancer) Post Operations Specialist. Jeremey now coaches full time and it’s been one of the most rewarding aspects of his life.
